About
I started playing guitar at the age of 12 and soon after started playing in bands in the greater New Haven area in Connecticut. I quickly realized that I had a passion not only for music, but for the design and construction of electric and acoustic guitars. I started repairing guitars in 1990. What started as a part time hobby—setting up and fixing guitars for friends and local musicians—quickly grew into a full-scale repair shop where beginners to pros could count on quality work suited to their needs and desires.
While in CT, I ran my repair shop inside RVP Studios for six years. I also worked as The sole, full-time guitar tech at Sam Ash in New Haven for several years. In 2018, I moved to Austin, TX and set up shop working for Jim Lehman at Guitar Resurrection. Soon after I started to do work subcontracted from Mark Erlewine at Erlewine Guitars. In 2020 I took a position working for Strait Music as Repair Shop Manager. Now I focus 100% of my time running my own shop in Dripping Springs to serve the local Austin area as well as clients from all over the country.
