Starting at $100
All setups start with a full evaluation and inspection, including electronics and hardware.
Acoustic set ups include a full inspection of bracing, bridge-plate, bridge pin holes, check for cracks and damage. Excessively dry guitars will need to be humidified at an additional charge. Electronic components are checked and cleaned if necessary. Tuners and hardware are inspected and adjusted if required. The fret board is cleaned and oiled if dried out (oil on open grain only). Frets are checked for imperfections and minor adjustments such as high or loose frets are addressed. The frets are then cleaned and polished. The relief, action (at nut and bridge) and string radius are dialed in to make the instrument sound and play its best. Pickup height is adjusted and the intonation is set with a strobe tuner.
All instruments will be wiped clean. Excessively dirty guitars will incur additional fees.
